The frog and little waterfall are beautiful, and I like the deep colours and well pitched exposures throughout ... (if it was my shot someone would say the greens in the last one were 'oversaturated' :wink
like it needs space above or below .... probably below for the drops to go somewhere.
You could be right about the greens , I know what you mean about the fountain, I have taken a number of shots of this over the last 2/3 years, perhaps this one is better framed :

the opening squirrel image looks a bit cramped composition-wise ...
Interestingly I like this precisely for the reason of the shallow depth of field, close in framing and muted colours as it makes it a bit different, here's another squirrel shot a while back begging for food !

Not played with the Q7 much so have took it out with me the last couple of times and have been pleasantly surprised by the 06 zoom lens (picked one up cheap during black Friday)

Whilst you cannot expect it to compete with a dslr, it is does well even on dull days as was the case for these pictures. Even used it to shoot some runners with reasonable results.

Nothing spectacular image wise but I though someone maybe interested, some of these are cropped.

I am selling my Mk1 Sigma 70-200 (screw drive) which is generally considered to have better IQ than the 70-200 Macro versions. I now have 3 F2.8 lenses covering this range which is a bit greedy, hence the sale. This is the 2nd Mk1 I have owned, it replaced my original about 2 years ago (you can find the sale thread if you search). I can see very little in IQ between this and the most recent version that I also have along with an 80-200 of another brand. I believe this focuses slightly quicker than the HSM version on the K3 as well based on the results I have had.

It will also accept the Sigma TC's 1.4x and 2x. (can throw in the 1.4 TC for £75 if interested)

I have had this for about 2 years and used it most weekends shooting a local parkrun event. This locks on focus really quickly on my K5ii and K3 that I have used it with. The lens does show signs of use and I've tried to show this in the pictures taken, there are also some dust specs along with a tiny fibre (away from the centre of the lens, struggled to capture in the photos) which from my experience has no impact on the quality of the pictures taken. I would not have normally mentioned the fibre but want to to 100% correct in the description as it is not dust. There is no fungus or other marks on the glass as far as I can tell. There is a tiny nick to the filter thread which doesn't affect use of filters (see image).

There is some sticky residue from a label on the front cap which could probably be removed (I've never bothered)

Comes with Hood, front and rear (not original) caps, tripod mount, case and box.

Taking into account condition I have priced this at £350 delivered. This will be very well packed when sent.

UK sale only, lens sent on reciept of payment via B/t or Cheque (once cleared. If you live near Sheffield I'm happy for you to come and inspect it.

This came up on facebook, if theres anyone going then I'd be interested in feedback on the 70-200, in particular the speed of focus.

I already have the Pentax 1.7x convertor but find it can soften the images a bit, and other times I can see any difference, so I rarely use it now. Anyone got both and compared them?
I used to have the Pentax 1.7x but like you I found my copy softened the images so I preferred to crop. I have since got rid of the 1.7. Other people have had far better results with the 1.7 though so it may be variations in the quality of them. I also used to have the Tamron 1.4x but again was not happy with the image quality.

Having got the Pentax 1.4 I have no problems with it (speed of SDM autofocus is another issue), pretty much attached to my DA*300 permanently at the moment. The kingfisher pics in my gallery are taken with it and cropped to roughly 50% of original. For me its the ideal partner for the DA*300.
