As a result of getting underexposed images when shooting yesterday I did some checking today and found the following.... Taking both incident and reflected light readings using my Variosix F meter and the camera meter in viewfinder mode, the result for all three was at ISO100 f8 @ 1/15... The resulting image was again grossly under exposed. Switching to Live View, the camera meter reading was ISO100 f8 @ 2.5 secs.. which gave a correctly exposed image. Can anyone please explain this as I am completely baffled.

Thanks for the info guys.. I've been in contact with Yongnuo and they don't produce P-TTL wireless triggers for Pentax and they didn't answer my query as to whether the Nikon ones would work. So it looks like I'll continue to use the triggers (PT-04NE) I've got and use the flash in manual..

I am in the market for a TTL Wireless Flash trigger for my Pentax K-x/Sigma EF-610 DG Super Flash and the Yongnuo YN-622 or RF603 caught my eye. However, altho these are advertised for Nikon and Canon, there is no mention of Pentax compatablility. A search on the internet revealed inoformation that the Pentax hotshoe pin configuration is the same as that on the Nikon, therefore the Nikon version of these triggers should work with Pentax. Obviously I am loath to risk it on the strength of a simple mention with no actual evidence, so I was wondering if any member has experience with the Pentax/Yongnuo combination they could pass on. Thanks

I have a very old but still serviceable Metz 45CT-5 + Metz C81 adaptor + Pentax 5P cord which was my main flash when I had my Pentax SFX film cameras.... Does anyone know if this combination can be used with my Pentax K-x.. Thanks in advance

Well you're lucky to win an auction! I've been struggling to find a nice film body at a reasonable price.

I have been given a totally wrecked Sper A, so we'll see how much it will cost to have it put in order again. It's on its way for a quote now.

I've got two SFX bodies that have been gathering dust for years.. make me an offer !!

Thanks.. I downloaded Recuva... looks like a useful programme but unfortunately it didn't find anything.. The loss of the images is no big deal per se.. It's just the fact that it happened and I don't know why and whether or not it will happen again that's worrying. At this time I can do more than quarantined the suspect card... and hope..

Thanks for the reply.... The card is definitely not locked...I've tried both the camera/pc link cable, two different card readers and alternative USB ports... but nothing. I've also tried reviewing them in camera on the LCD... and although yesterdays images are still there's no sign of todays. Further I've checked the indicated remaining image total and it doesn't add up. There are only 63 retrievable images on the card, which should leave about 213 more available. The indicated figure is 121.

Did a short studio shoot (50 images) with my K-x and a Fuji 2GB card yesterday. All images recorded well and were uploaded to my pc and left on the card. Today with the same camera/card combination I did a location shoot. As one does, the images were reviewed on the LCD at regular intervals and all seemed to be going as per normal. However, when I came to upload them to my pc, the camera generated file was there, but not a single image. Any ideas as to what the problem might be would be gratefully received. Thanks
Bob
