I would whole heartedly recommend the Pentax 80- 320mm. I tend to use mine up to about 280mm and it's nice and sharp!

thanks but rubber hood is my last resort... (not buying the one from pentax - it is daylight assault, battery and robbery)

Hi

I'm triggering using one of those cheap chinee radio thingies. I have only just recieved the sync cable.

hmmm... funny one I will try shooting at 1/60 but the 1/80 feature will just be good for certain things!

Hi All,

any ideas why I get part of the shutter curtain on the bottom of my pic, when I sync upto the k10d and use 180th or x setting. Is this setting only for use with the dedicated flash not a studio flash?

As always thatnks for your expertise

[quote="amoringello"]A diffuser will reduce the flash power to some extent. Although I would expect PTTL to compensate, I think it still has some effect.

thanks for the post... Yes I will push my exposure up a stop but I shouldn't have to... it's PTTL after all.

somewhat disappointing. In some ways when I used my Me super I new I had to tweak but now we expect out bucks and the new technology to really do the work for us.

my experience of pentax flash guns has not been positive so far.

I have been using my flash on the K10 a lot recently and have connected it off camera via the cord. All my shots are under exposed. I have to over expose the flash by a stop or the camera. I am using a stofen plastic diffuser - any ideas people.

A flash at this price should just work...

ps it did bounce off the floor a while ago!!

yep the D was lovely still is (my father -in - law is currently wowed by it) ... the rest... well compare them to canon eos 5d or 30d.?

I can compare my K10d. There has been alot of time and technology between the ist d and the k10d.

George... I hope you are not coming onto me. This isn't the place.
If you had any spare prime lenses I might swap them for a pic of me in my wellingtons.
