Thats great news All the reviews I read before buying my Kx did not consider it to be an entry level camera.
Must be difficult to group cameras to rate based on price alone

Pentaxophile ...Thats where I bought mine from, couldn't beat the price anywhere and they were doing a good deal on lenses too.

Ps You already know it's RED Love or Hate it, it is a great camera and I can't wait to see my friends faces when they see it... four Nikon and one Sony Dslr dyed in the wool owner's

Thanks Pentaxophile I'm a bit more of a fun photo taker but have more time on my hands now, so have upgraded from a Sony bridge.(My first slr was a Canon Ae-1P always found it way too heavy) Our tutor at the Adobe Photoshop course raved on and on about Pentax so it was always a contender when I was looking. Must admit the colours did attract me but I did look at C and N before chosing.

RAB -- I went for the Pentax 50-200mm too. Hasn't had really much use yet, main reasons was weight. Did'nt want anything too heavy as I'm often out with my dog and when he's on the lead (38kg) and a camera as well and I'm not very big.......Front heavy

Thanks for the positive comments but still haven't found a like minded owner yet! Two rules then: Watch out for bugs and bulls when walking through a wildflower field

Newbie here! A couple of questions......
1.I've only had my Red K-x a couple of days and was wondering what comments/response other owners have had to it being Red and not the usual black ? Good or Bad.
2.Has the colour caused any problems taking pic's ? ie... I was told the colour might frighten the wildlife! etc

Some of the reviews have been very negative about the colours. I know I've got the right camera but have I made the right colour choice?
