Hi guys
Snappy new year to you all.
Can you guys help me with some lens advice.
I am currently using the K5 with Pentax 60-250mm lens mainly for wildlife/birding photography.
The lens is a cracking lens but i am finding that I have to crop quite heavily on a lot of my images and am wondering if i would be better selling this lens and buying something with more reach eg. Sigma 50-500 or 150-500.
My main concerns are image quality and the Sigma lenses slower aperture.
How does the AF speed /accuracy compare?.
Do you think I would regret selling the 60-250mm ( I can only afford to have one long zoom).
Thanks in advance for any guidance you can give me.
Regards
Andy

Post a picture, the sensor stain looked more like a row of tiny dots and could only be seen well when zoomed real close in. Your's sounds like a simple dust bunny and unlikely anything to worry about. Like I said post a photo and you will get plenty of helpful replies.
Hi
I have added a photo with the blob to the right of the bird.

Hi
Please help I am gutted
I have purchased a Pentax K5 this week from Warehouse Express and have used the camera for the first time. All my shots have got a blob on them which I think must be a sensor problem because I have used 2 different lenses and the blob appears on all photos.
Any of you folks give me some advice about the issue. The camera was brand new in a sealed box.
How can i tell how old the body is from the serial number.

Just purchased a Pentax K5 with a 18-55 WR kit lens and a second hand 60-250mm Pentax lens.
First impression are "WOW" on the build quality of the body compared to a Nikon D300s which I had owned a year or so ago. I have come from a Panasonic GH2 which is a very good camera but just hasn't got it in low light.
After reading the reviews I thought I would give the K5 a try (my last Pentax was the classic ME Super.
Just trying to get my head around the program line feature and the green button.
Cheers
