Item for Sale
FA*28-70
Asking Price
£500
Item Location
London (UK)
Item Description
For sale is FA*28-70. I bought it few months ago only from Ffordes, without hood and in the same cosmetic condition as I'm selling it. I paid more than I'm asking for and I added the DA* style hood!
The lens works perfectly, glass is clean and scratch free, aperture snappy, aperture ring working as intended, MF ring, zoom ring and PZ function all 100% working.
The lens must have gone through some abuse earlier on it's life though. It shows some marks on the silver finish (non unseen with FA* lenses) but most notable is the dent in the beauty ring. This is (IMO) closely related to scuffed filter thread. It looks like the lens came into contact with an object that on it's way to the beauty ring shaved off part of the filter thread. Having said that, the glass is intact and the filter thread will still take filters (I tried my 67mm CPL).
As I mentioned, the lens came without hood so I got the DA*200/300 hood for it. On APSC it doesn't vignette even on 28mm setting. Provides perfect protection from stray light and physical damage (far better than original hood IMO) and can be stored backwards for transport, even on camera.
Lens comes wit Pentax rear cap and DA style pinch front cap

Item for Sale
FA*24
Asking Price
£375
Item Location
London (UK)
Item Description
I'm selling my FA*24.
Have owned it for just 15 months. I purchased it from SRS as secondhand.
It's in a good shape, shows some marks of wear and tear on the silver finish. It functions perfectly though. Glass is clean, aperture snappy and MF ring and clutch work as intended. This copy has quite nice OOF rendering. For some examples look into my posts in FA* thread and my review of this copy here: http://www.pentaxforums.com/forums/pentax-slr-lens-discussion/123790-about-fa-24mm-al-if.html

how many shutter actuations?
Comment by axl posted on For Sale K-7 at 15/12/2011 - 15:06
I took one from Ffordes just over month ago for £549. Not the best shape but works like charms. And there wasn't hood, so I had to go and get one (ended up with DA*200/300 hood, works well for APSC ). Then there was one over at Pentaxforums.com for 550EUR. Other than that I only saw one in London in last 3 years. It was in LCE for £599... Good luck getting your copy.
On the side note, PM me your offer. I might be selling as this Xmas is getting really expensive. I'm not kidding...
