A later version of elements would be better, because they have 'guide' mode which gives direct assistance. I would not go below version 8.
Lightroom 6 does not feature new tools like dehaze which came out after lightroom 6.
Worth checking to see if you have it preloaded
As Nigel said, you really need a later version than the one you mention
