I had the card in a plastic SD holder in my camera bag in a pocket next to another pocket which had my spare camera battery in, so I hope that didn't do anything to it.

I think I've had problems with that card before, I was worried it was the camera. I can't remember where I bought it from, never had any problems till now. I might have to get a new card (16gb I think).

Just come back from Cornwall and I took lots of photos on a Sandisk 8gb card. I use Play memories to upload photo's, I had a duff card reader so some of the files were corrupted because of this and wouldn't display. I bought a Hama card reader which worked ok, until fifteen minutes ago!

I waited until all pictures were uploaded and clicked on import which seemed to work ok and then I kept getting blank squares with crosses in and a notice saying not all files could be saved. I am a bit upset as I spent hours taking photo's and now I could have lost the whole lot.

Have taken it round to London Camera Exchange who said the camera wasn't being read in their PC and there could be something wrong with the card. He said he would try and put them on disk of what he could recover, and let me know if there is something wrong with the card.

I am worried now that I have lost everything

Can you recommend a better card please?

I don't think its the card reader this time as it opened the files ok, just made a lot of them blank.

How do I calibrate the pc?

Apparently it was on the news last night that someone has been vandalising them, typical Salisbury!

Never done a selfie before. Just come back from Cornwall after taking a load of photo's. Will eventually put a few on here

I put one of my cards into my memory card reader to upload images onto Play memories and it began ok but stopped. It kept asking me to plug in my camera! I restarted the computer and then my pc wouldn't acknowledge the card reader, so taking it round LCE I was told the card reader had 'died' so I had to get a new one. This worked but not all the files could be saved, I'm wondering if the dodgy ex card reader corrupted some of the files off the card.

Has anyone else experienced this problem please?

Salisbury has celebrated the magna Carta and these barons have appeared all over the city, painted by local artists they will be auctioned off in October. I went round photographing them, I probably haven't got all of them, as there are 25 apparently.
