i am curious to if the 02 hood (square one) would work for the 06,
or the other way around if the 06 hood (round one) work for the 02 lens.

simple answer yes! just gotten mine on the amazon deal, and wish i had gotten it eariler, it's a good camera and really fun to play with.

i have been given an opportunity to purchase the k-5 from someone at work, i was wondering what should i be aware of when i check the camera? and how to go about checking it?

i am aware that earlier models of k-5 had a sensor stain issue. how do i go about checking it, and what model number would be safe from it?

i am sorry for lots of questions, i have not purchased 2nd hand gear before, and would really appreciate your help. thank you

2009, i went to korea, my friend had a pentax k100d at the time, and she let me play with in for the entire time, love the design of the camera, it feels right. but most importantly the green colour comes out of it, it's stunning to me.

2010, been researching for a DSLR myself, found curry's was doing a deal 400 pounds for k-x + 18-55 + 55-300, immediately rush down to the local store, and got myself one! then realize it's the DA 55-300 not the DAL! lucky me! what a bargain!

also, now i realize the k-x uses CMOS, but the K100d was CCD, but oh well, still a lovely camera to use!
