Second hand K-5 what should I be aware of?

this is my first post in here.

i have been given an opportunity to purchase the k-5 from someone at work, i was wondering what should i be aware of when i check the camera? and how to go about checking it?

i am aware that earlier models of k-5 had a sensor stain issue. how do i go about checking it, and what model number would be safe from it?

i am sorry for lots of questions, i have not purchased 2nd hand gear before, and would really appreciate your help. thank you

Take your memory card from the Kx and take a jpeg picture with it. then upload link on this site which will give you the shutter count of the K5.
