You could use Photoshop's new AI tool to eliminate the gentleman, or replace him with an alternative being. Indeed, you could add a light in the lamp, a lady (of high morals, of course) in the window....

Which raises the question of how far we should go with AI? My thought is that it's OK to take out - we do this with the clone tool - but adding in something from someone else's picture library is another kettle of fish.

Many thanks for all your comments and interest. I enjoyed the day, I set out to get photos that showed the massiveness of the structure and was blessed with lovely weather. As the clouds moved across the sky each span of the bridge came out of shadow in turn. Magical!
Numbers 3, 4 and 8 were taken with the Ricoh GR3x, the rest with my K-70 and 55-300 PLM lens.

I was in Scotland a couple of weeks ago and took a train trip to Dalmeny and North Queensferry. It's a long walk down (vertically!) to the shore - and then up again!
