Have been taking photographs for 50 years encouraged by my father who processed and contact printed 2 1/4 film in the late 1930's . My First camera was a 1960 Zenit 6x4 120 film camera which did sterling service for 15 years. This was followed by several of the Kodak mini film / cartridge cameras, and a Polaroid instant camera. Eventually when family had grown up about 1987 went into SLR with the Canon FD T70 followed by T90. Having joined two camera clubs, I set up a home darkroom and processed and printed B&W, colour negative and slide film. This lasted about 15 years, when my job responsibilities did not give me time to continue and the darkroom equipment was sold off and FD equipment only emerged very infrequently (weddings etc). Took photos with a Fugi F810 compact until last year when on retirement the annuity paid for a K20D and basic kit and rejoined the camera clubs. I am amazed and impressed at the improvement of imagery in the 15 years I have been "away", and am struggling to catch up and learn to use PSE, PSP, Artizen, P2E, etc in a hurry. Hoping the next 50 years will show some improvement? |
