You may not need an actual Pentax branded one...a generic one may well have the same screw thread..try fleabay.

Good luck allbend - I first joined PU for a similar reason - the grommet cover on my *istD had snapped off from the fitting and I wondered where I could find one - still looking !!

I'd check with SRS. I bought a used K20D via this forum which was missing the rubber cover for the battery grip connection. I searched for a while on ebay etc, but eventually it occurred to me to ask SRS and they sorted me out within a few days for the princely sum of £3 if I recall correctly.

I can provide one for you - down side is that it will cost around £200 !
I'll buy a second hand K20D - sell the part to you then resell the body with it missing and an appropriate reduction!
seriously though ... is it the same as that on older cameras? If so, a scrap one might be the answer and SRS may be able to assist.

Thanks for assistance and suggestions as above.
I have tried SRS and Warehouse Express who are making enquiries as are Shamitec.
Also tried Jp services again and after some pressure they can supply me a used cap, so should be ok when it arrives, hurrah!
However as I've had this trouble, and it is such a vunerable item I still hope somebody will stock them eventually and I will get a "spare".

Yes, thats exactly the cap I am after, well found. I never search through non uk websites!
The excellent thing about this site is it gives the Pentax part no, which most people in the UK wanted!
Downside is carriage from this New York seller is $40 !!
