There's a New CZ 28mm f/2.0 Distagon on ebay for about 957 Dollars US in California. It has the A setting.

The cheapest is probably the A Series 300mm f/4. It does have a slightly narrower FOV (about 10%)than either the FA or DA.
The 1.7x AF adapter works well with the lens above. I posted a
few shots in this thread

Transcend Class 10 have a very bad name. Just Google it.
Sandisk are slightly better. Lexar 133x are good.

This shows what I consider to be a correct aproach to monopod use.

These guys also do very nice ball heads.

Best regards
Hey Gary, If you want really solid support just get one
of these suckers (the biggest you can find) and screw the
bent part straight into the tripod bush on the camera with
a 1/4" screw

Having said that I wouldn't mind one of these Novoflex 2 way
heads just to crank an offset at the top of a monopod
bit too expensive though.

There were several Vivitar 70-200's some were very good the only way to find out is try it. There's only one pin and it's well documented how to remove it. If it's rounded at the end it probably wont get stuck.

Easiest solution is whiz it off with a Dremel.
