Stops you shooting with the lens cap on

The timings must be different with Pentax. The RF-602's work
OK with Canikons at 1/250th but not Pentax. The RF-602 is probably
firing a little bit late on all camera's and the Canikons are just
scraping by. Possibly why there's no backwards compatibility with
the new RF-603

There's probably a bit of leeway with the times

You don't need the CPL filter at night. The Blue Cast is what's known as the Blue Hour. See this site for details:

You can get the time of the Blue Hour from this site.

It is one of the better M Series lenses. Very compact as well.
Also underpriced

This Aputure one looks interesting for £33.

Looks like the RF-603 is out £28 and listed for Pentax up to 1/320 (some may be less) ?

I prefer to blend in with the ambient light. Even at 1/90th and f/8 100ISO I get a black cat in a coalhole if the flash isn't switched on Nearly said doesn't fire, but it always fires as long as it's switched on.

For anyone using High Voltage Bowens Monolites these HV slave cells are very good and sensitive for £20. Just bounce a small flash off the ceiling either direct or via a wireless system. They are a jackplug fitting so easily adapted to other guns.

I didn't notice it before, there is a very good small movie showing how to use QPCard 201 here
