In what way isn't it working?

Nothing happens when you turn the adjustment dial, no matter what is set on the function dial (eg ISO/ Bracket/ Exposure Compensation) etc

If you are handy with tools and confident you can probably fix it yourself but it's probably not a job for the feint hearted. Never the less it does appear to be a common problem (though I admit not having come across it before) and can clearly be fixed. If it's not a job you wish to attempt yourself then some kind soul on this forum may I feel sure be able to point you to a Pentax repair shop.

I have thought about tackling this myself following the Mode dial repair threads, but not sure if the problem is the same as its a different couple of dials.
I had rung Alan Marlow who has helped a lot of folk out and he said it is a job for official Pentax Repair as it involves changing a PCB
So - have tried contacting John Pye to get an idea of cost - but as stated in OP, no response from them!

i had the same problem when i had my k1 but was under warrentry via lce it mite be worth giving you local ice a call

Not posted here in quite a while, but would value any help/ comments
The dual dial system to control different settings on my K1 (Mk 1) has stopped working. The basic mode dial that selevts Av, Tv, etc is fine.
Has anyone else had this problem and managed to fix it? If so how much etc?!
I know john Pye are meant to be Ricoh repair folk but seem not to answer their phone, or respond tio email. Anyone else had this problem?
