The limited devaluation of the pound against the yen is just an excuse for the manufacturer or importer/distributor or retailer or all of them to to increase their profit margins. HM's Government also gets more money to waste on inefficency and incompetence with the increased VAT that has to be paid.

I doubt if it'll drop the £500 it needs to until they start to clear all the stock they'll have left.

I got mine in the Black Friday sales a year ago and not regretted it one bit. I use it on my K3-II and occasionally K30 and find the focussing is usually quick and accurate, particularly when using back button focussing. A fine lens.

I've upgraded to the 50-135 so the 18-135 is now surplus to my requirements. It is in good condition, Serial number 4169152, and includes the original front and rear caps and a circular polariser that has been on the lens almost permanently.

I've had my 18-135 for about 4 years and used to have it on my K30 or, more recently, K3-II most of the time and have been generally happy with it as a "walkabout" lens. However I've recently been using it a lot less as I've become disappointed with the accuracy and speed of the autofocus at the long end of the range, particularly with moving subjects. This also happens when using back button focus.
I recently picked up a Tamron 17-50 f2.8 cheaply and am impressed with it and leave it attached to the camera. If I anticipate needing something a bit longer I just put my Tamron 90 mm and, sometimes, my Pentax 1.4x convertor in the bag. I know it means a extra weight and changing lens, but I reckon it's worth it.
