Lovely images those Nigel...particularly like the middle one with the teddies. Great technical shots and a very relaxed pose from such a young model.

I like them Gareth...however like the other comments, maybe just a tadge more exposure would be even better.

Having bought some used extension tubes cheaply a couple of years ago, i've been meaning to try them out ever since. Have just spent an hour late afternoon indoors playing around. Its quite good fun and very addictive. These are some of the better ones from 44 images. I would expect to do much better with good light outdoors...focusing was the hardest part as my eyes aren't what they used to be...a lot of trial and error.

1. Taken with M 50/f1.7 at its closest focus.

2. Taken with M 50/f1.7 + 12mm extension tube for comparison. Had to physically move camera and tripod a few inches closer to get focus.

3. Taken with M 50/f1.7 + 12mm + 20mm Extension Tubes. Had to move physically closer still.

4. "Sharp 50"...again I combined the lens plus 12 and 20mm tubes. Cover of manual wasn't completely closed flat hence the focusing anomaly.

5. Silver and Glitter...close-up of a sprayed and glittered pine cone. (lens plus 12+20 tubes)

6. Snowman...needs no introduction! (lens plus 12+20 tubes)

7. Tree Decoration. (lens plus 12+20 tubes)

Castle Cameras have got some new K5II with DA 18-55WR kit lenses for £499...a good bargain at this price
and this camera should suit you if the K50/K-S2 feel too small.

A nice variety of shots. Agree with you that No.6 is the best.

Have to really view them large by clicking on them (as you say) as they are a bit small as they are.
