I have just got a Mico helicopter as an early Dads day present. Spent 30 mins flying it around the living room. The dog thinks its alive and wants to kill it. Great fun

Please dont mention BIG birthdays. My wife will be having one in September.Cant say what one as I want to live to see it My birthday is on the same day, My sister has a birthday on the next day as do two of my niece's. Why am I always broke in September?

Yesterday I pruned a lilac tree so that I can replace the fencing behind it. Decided that as it was going to be a long job I would listen to the new Chris Isaak album on my phone using headphones. Started pruning at the bottom of the tree with a pair of secateurs and really enjoying the music then silence.
Checked the music player on the phone and its was still playing then saw the wire hanging down that should have been connected to the headphones. When leaning forward I must have cut through it. Good job it was not an expensive pair of phones. Now using blue tooth headphones. The Chris Isaak album is good with lots of classic cover versions.

Went to a dance in the middle of Winsor Park last night. Came out and it was Snow,Snow,Thick Thick Snow. Got home and parked the car at the top of our drive which is on a slope and overnight it slid down and parked outside the front dooor. Must have been cold and wanted to come in.
I dont like this but at least I dont have to go to work any more and good luck to those of you that will need to brave the roads tommorow.
