Twisted Trees
by davidstorm
I just love the way that trees get contorted and twisted in upland areas. The fact that there are so few of them in the uplands makes them stand out even more.
This one was a long exposure with a variable ND filter to cut down the light levels. Unfortunately there was a little wind so the foliage in the trees has blurred a bit, but there's nothing I could do about this.
K-5, DA 16-45, Variable ND filter.
Sorry about overloading the gallery with Lake District shots, but I have so many from a recent trip with Shaun (Puma) and I like to share them with you.

This does really come to life in the larger view and yet again must be stunning at full resolution, very subtle but powerful composition

My only criticism is that you didn't include all of the tree. otherwise excellent.
