Viaduct
One from January a few years back when the weather elements came together to improve the scene.

"Viaduct" suggests a huge heap of stone that dominates the frame. This viaduct is indeed a huge heap of stone but it has been pushed way, way into the background as a supporting element for that fantastic sunbeam that slices straight through the scene.

What struck me the most was the negative spaces formed by the viaduct, which channeled the gorgeous light into the scene. A very impressive forground too. Congratulations on your prize!

Thankfully, 'Yes', a Moderator IS allowed the honour. ... and very well deserved too. Great shot Rick - spotting that sunbeam was a masterstroke!
