Grieving for the loss of your pre June 2024 images from your gallery, why?

Thanks, Mike, that's kind of you! I didn't think the quality of many of the older images was high enough anymore.

I also noticed that some of my photos had been indexed by Google and various AI services (where they might be used as training data) and were showing up in contexts I couldn't really control.

So it's partly a general clean-up: I've removed around 80% of the images from my own website as well.

As I mentioned in another thread, if I remember correctly, it would be great to be able to replace an image here on the site with a new version.

Thanks for your explanation, I agree with your position on AI training seems like the wild west out there.

I'm curious, how did you find out your work was being used etc.
