Sheep in field

Not perfectly focused and too much PP ...... but sometimes it is the capture that makes a "picture".

Hi Nigelk - Thanks. Basically I was saying that, from a technical photographic perspective, it is not very good, but sometimes those are not the qualities needed to make a good picture (as opposed to photograph).

Well, it does make a damn fine picture as far as I'm concerned.' I don't find the PP overdone either. I guess I'm seeing a bit more colour than I would expect to see in the RAW but not too much for my taste. I think it would make a fine print.

I did turn the colour up a smidgen . Great minds - Re print - I thought the same so have had it printed at (30" * 15") and framed. Its going to be hung in a room I am just redecorating. I am very pleased with the print but getting the frame colour right at the framing shop took a lifetime!!!! Thanks for your kind words and liking my work.

I'm trying to visualise them breaking into polite applause! Love it!

Thanks everyone - hindsight is a wonderful thing but I wish I had taken a wee step to the left so that the sheep in the forefront was completely silhouetted in the snow, re its ear.

It's a great image, not over-processed, just a great image.

So glad to hear you had a large print made and that you are pleased with it.
Now all we need to do is arrange a Pentax User trip to beautiful Argyll so that we may all gaze upon it.

I have never really delved into other aspects of this forum - are their local/regional groups?

Hahaha! That is superb! They all look like they might be carnivorous sheep that are hungry and have just spotted you! Definitely liked.
