The composition really impresses me with the stone steps leading up to the fortification at the top of the hill. But I like the bottom half of the picture even more. If you imagine a square format upwards from the bottom of the frame to the point just above the smiling lips of the rock on the left and the junction of the two paths. The shape and formation is exquisite.

Your eyes just go up and down those steps - and it's a long way. Superb shot all round.
Both the *istDS and the K5 are incurably addicted to old glass

It's all about the stone and the steps, and magnificent it is!

All I want is for you to rename it to a title that reflects what this picture is about. Silly isn't it, but for some reason it matters to me.

The bit of blue sky breaking between the clouds balances the picture perfectly for me. Amazing how people see things differently but all comments are positive and its a great capture.
