Dolly.

Dolly hasn't been out and about much in recent times and when our paths crossed recently I asked her if she would mind posing for me. I know that Dolly's appearance can be rather scary on occasions but she tried her best this time round, which didn't result in small children running for the cover of mother's apron!

Dolly??... Are you sure you don't mean Chucky - the doll in the Child's Play movies?

Nice and sharp and well framed. Nice colour pop-up but I wonder why they paint an ugly mouth different than the actual one which is quite nice.

I think that grown up painted mouth combined with the stare of those blue eyes and those two teeth makes it scary. I felt the need to explain, for some reason or other.

If Hollywood decide to resurrect the Child's Play franchise, then the job of Executive photographer should be yours, Paul!!

She's really scary, but the colour pop effect works well.

Thanks for your comments gents. For years I looked for a sinister doll to include in photographs but could never find what I really wanted. "Dolly" was purchased through eBay and was a bit of a compromise. Its owner's two year old daughter really wasn't comfortable with the doll and thus it had to go. Dolly was the simple name it was known by.
I'm not a great fan of color-popping but these features just needed to be emphasised.

Yeah, I'm not surprised the kid "wasn't comfortable with it"!
