Brimham Rocks

by tyronet2000

It's always a marvel to me where a tree will grow, apparently in solid rock here.

That could be a very spooky place. I can see a giant's head in the rock to the right....
Best regards, John

Thanks for the comment John. There are some fantastic shapes there and it's amazing how they change from looking towards then after passing, looking back

A lovely shot Stan.
Apparently there are trees that grow in similar conditions in China which are decades old and are much sought after for Bonsai trees.
This looks like one of them!
Best wishes

Thank you for your kind comment Ian, I've seen some trees elsewhere on the edge of a quarry and can't see how they survive

Fascinating image. I wonder what this place would look like under a full moon.

Thanks for the comment Ian. I think it would be as fascinating in the moonlight as it is during the daylight

It is - but the bats can be a bit bothersome if disturbed (seriously). Also superb in the snow - if you can make it

Nice shot of my "second favourite" tree at Brimham - living just down the road - a regular haunt for me.

Let me know when you are going again Stan and I will share my favourite tree from my favourite angle

Carl
No matter how many lenses I have owned - I have always needed just one more
