Hi! I have been looking at various options for my K10D and am now thinking of the Samsung 54?? which as far as I can see is a rebadged Pentax 540 flash. Any comments on this?
I've never heard of a samsung 54 - nor can I find any reference to it on google! Do you have a link?

Wow. At that price it's very tempting. Only about £30 quid more than the Sigma, and presumably less risky in terms of compatibility (?)

But the camera is, isn't it? So if the flash can talk to the GX10, it should be able to talk to the K10D.ChrisA wrote:

Whoops. I meant: If it is NOT exactly the same, electronically, I would be amazed.George Lazarette wrote:

That's even better news.Whoops. I meant: If it is NOT exactly the same, electronically, I would be amazed.
(and, incidentally, I was referring to my own assumptions/hopes about compatibility as having the holes, not anyone else's).

Now I've got the Samsung number for the flash gun SEF-54PZF I can look around for it. Thanks for the 2 links.

Samsung flash for £180!!! It is rather annoying that Samsung stuff is so much cheaper. Are they subsidising it (and making a loss) or selling it at minimum profit? I mean they are buying it all from Pentax to start with...
