Not sure why the sea went this two tone colour, but I certainly think it helps give the image the dreamy look I was trying for.

Is there any reason why it has been cropped narrow like this?

I agree the tones are quite painterly, and I will be printing it on an art paper which emphasises that effect.

Two reasons I cropped quite narrow:
1.) The rest of the sky at the top is quite plain and boring
2.) I wanted to give the impression of lots of open space for the yacht to sail into, a sense of emptiness. Hopefully it does that?

The Sea went in two tone colour due to local wind conditions.

This photo makes me think of the famous Danish painter; P.S. Krøyer.
He painted some immaculate pieces of art at Skagen in Denmark.
Skagen is at the very north tip of Denmark in Scandinavia and has this very special light attracting artists from everywhere.

I can see the similarities between my image and the paintings.

I wish I could come up with a short answer to that.
And I wish I could come up with a non-political answer to that.

For this community it would be comforting to announce that it's because every Dane has a Pentax.
However, that is not the truth.
