Today's rain has been totally incredible !! AND pretty short lived rainstorms too.
I had 2 of 'em on my 1.15hr drive to Edinburgh this morning - and by heck it was coming down - my wipers went to double speed - doesn't happen often with the Freelander.
Coming back I stopped with my passenger and his 7yr old in a MacDs - gives the little boy some fun, and the wetness came down again - and how - it came through MacD's roof !! Continued home and had 2 more really heavy downpours.
My car is now clean - there was enough in sufficient quantities for that.
Ain't it a pity that pros who shoot these events don't have weather resistant gear

Resistant not proof... I seem to remember one Pentax users claim being refused. After he had some water ingress.. We shouldn't gloat...

Indeed, gloating is never a good idea. But at least the WR system means we can be pretty confident we can use our Pentaxes in the worst weather conditions.

why would a pro do a shoo twithout taking along some kind of weather sheilding, even if its' a plastic bag and a rubber band

The shower caps you get in hotels and never use are very handy for kit
