Can I ask - why don't people put a brief idea of what it is they are inviting others to click on?

Just putting "link" in the body of the message tells us nothing and anyone on a data-plan needs to be wary that the site the link leads to might be sending them something that could end up using a large chunk of their allowance.

If you hover over the word "link" at the bottom of screen it should give you the intended website address.

I don't see anything in this link that's likely to overload an internet connection?

John, the destination does not indicate if it's a few lines of text, 3 minutes of video or a 40MP image - some indication would be helpful.

You are right of course, in this instance there isn't anything that will eat up too much data, but there are numerous times when "click" or "link" has lead to a large chunk of data being eaten up for what turned out to be click-bait.

I don't think it's unreasonable for people who have the time to post the links to take a couple of extra seconds to indicate what we are to expect.

I agree it would be better to use the full link, rather than just Link or a word or two, and hopefully anyone posting anything too greedy in resources will take note and give a warning accordingly!

I've always enjoyed the links that Ken posts, I don't think they need much explanation.
