Which photo to enter for 'World In Motion'?

No idea what the judges would be looking for here - this sort of thing is incredibly subjective. Of them all, the first one stands out the most. It's bold and simple, and addresses the theme (relevant to both world, and motion).
The second and third are way too abstract - I wouldn't have realised it was trees without the caption, and the third is too much coloured lights and not enough motion to speak the theme to me.
4 and 5 are too much motion, and not enough world. 6, 7 and particularly 8 are too abstract as well - the long exposures have lost too much of the subjects for it to be clear.
If you do enter the contrail pic, clone out the sensor dust spots!

You might be asking your competitors to tell you which images to enter....but I really do think it's your choice. Which ones do you really like the best?
Best regards, John

I'm with CG on this. No doubt for me that 4 is the stand out image.
Given the title of the comp I would be looking for something a little idiosyncratic but still identifiable all bundled together with some tasteful art. 4 ticks all those boxes for me.
Good luck

Sometimes I'm serious and sometimes not, but I consider sarcasm an artform. Which is it today?

I'm not sure I'm qualified to comment on these as I don't really understand this genre of photography, so what I will say is gut feel only.
I don't think the first one is competition standard, it's too straightforward and simple.
I'm drawn to the fourth and the last one, although I think the car in the fourth one should be sharp? I do like the odd angle in the fourth one, it adds to the abstract nature of the image.
Regards
David

This is why Forums like this work, we all have different views

I think the theme is best conveyed by 4 & 5. They may not be the best technically though - it depends what else the judges will place most value on?

Amateur photographer of the year round 3 closes soon. The theme is World In Motion.
I have a few I'm considering, not sure are some too abstract or is that good to make them stand out. I'd like opinions & thoughts on which you think I should enter & why please.
