Great captures of amazing buildings - wen I was there,each night everything was hidden by smog,it is amazingto see them so crystall clear. I like the blue light in the third one, this is a great contrast to the brown/grey background.
On the second one,I think according to the spot fromwhere you took the picture, the two buildings are too close together - this is much better in number three.

Great shots, especially the 1st with the lights trails.
If I remember correctly it was the observation deck of the Jinmao tower me and the wife went to last year - impressive view down the central column of the building too!!

Thank you Axel. Actually the 'smog' is more often than not very high humidity that occurs at certain times of the year. Not to say there is no pollution here .. there certainly is ! Living here I am amazed at how many clear days we actually get ... it's all in the timing. #2 : it was the only angle where I could squeeze in both of those and the new building under construction.

DA*15 Ltd for all of these (just much tighter cropping on #3). From 3 to 8 secs and all at f8, ISO 80.

Yes there are observation decks on both of these buildings. Jinmao on the 88th floor and WFC on 99th & 100th floors if I remember correctly. great views from all of them on a clear day (though best save your money, go to the bar on the 87th floor of the Jinmao, and spend the 15-20 GBP viewing fee on drinks with spectacular free views in the evening !

I'm also very pleased though that someone noticed the sky as I will admit that I was watching the cloud formations for about a week before I went out as I didn't want a totally clear or totally cloudy night and although a little more cloud came over than I had bargained for it wasn't total coverage.

The WFC (left - 2nd highest building in the world) and Jinmao (right - 5th highest building in the world). On the right you can just about see the construction of what will be the new 2nd highest building in the world (but only for about 3 months until they finish the one in Guangzhou) !!
