Has anybody had any dealings with the above?
I've read mixed reviews, whilst they offer a great price for the Tamron 90mm macro through e-bay link

HOWEVER they quote a 5 year warranty, whilst Tamron lists the super dealers in the UK who offer this, and surprise these guys aren't there..

I've e-mailed them for clarification.

Is it safer to spend the extra £55 to purchase from a reputable dealer, such as SRS?

Mixed reviews = mixed results generally...

Just been through their feedback and to be honest I rather spend some more and buy from SRS.

In particular this one stands out:

'Grey Import' - This may explain why they are not on Tamron's Super Dealer UK List.

I rather be save then sorry. To many 'real' negative feedback with no reply in defence for my liking.

Thanks for the feedback, I've decided to give them a miss.

This is their response when I queried the 5 year warranty

"We registered the item with Tamron under our company name, which Tamron will carry out the first part of manufacturer's warranty and we will provide the extended warranty upto 5 years."

This sounds very much like a 'Grey Import'.

You get the STANDARD Manufacturers International Warranty for the item (probably one year) from the date the item was/has been registered with Tamron. This COULD be already one year ago!

After that you get the Wolu-Digital warranty which, should it come to it, may be not even worth anything.
If they stop trading or change their Trading Name they MAY not even be responsible to carry out any repairs under the given warranty.

You would need to see their T&C's for each items warranty in how far you are covered.

For the sake of £55 I PERSONALLY find it is not worth the hustle, in particular seeing how many items where already delivered with a fault (and this is only in the feedback which is usually given a couple of days after receiving the item. I do not want to think how many fail in the first few month of use. This you will not see in the feedback. May even be 'Grey Import RETURNS' from the originating country!).

Its a bit like the Insurance Write Off Cars that are no longer road worthy in the UK. Dealers buy these and ship them as scrap (save TAX, VAT etc) to Poland etc. There the cars get put together again and sold legally with good profit.
