Have just confirmed that the Canon wireless remote uses the same 2.5 jack that fits Pentax cameras, and the Canon units are therefore compatable with Pentax. Daniel, if you are ever on the adjacent south coast, give me a buzz. Travelling to the Island is a very costly affair. I doubt it would be viable. regards Ron.

This is the one I can comfirm this, just bought one last week
Pay attention that you get the right one. You need the one designed for the Canon 400D and the likes, the 40D and up use a diferent type of plug

This is the one I bought link
It comes with a 2 meter extension cable and you can fixiate the button while you push it in,
so in bulb mode the mirror will stay down (10min photo anyone) or in continues mode the camera will keep on making photos till you loosen the button (timelaps maybe).

Just found this on ebay. Bit pricier than others, but looks like it has some decent functions.

There was one around that also had an interval timer too, I was quite tempted at the time, but never got round to it. Can't find it now.

Will do! Might take another holiday on the island at some point, haven't been there for about 15 years.

I know Peter, but we're now talking about wired ones. Do keep up!

Oh well, in that case, my preferred wired trigger has a built in timer and has the name Aputure (yes, I spelled it right) on the front. Similar to this one. I also noticed that they do a wireless one as well, here.

Warehouse express tell me that the Canon units come with two leads, one of which has the 2.5 jack used by Pentax. I like the look of the Link Delight units. Anyone actually using these..the price seems to be too cheap.

I have the wired (more expensive) version and it's great. I might even get one of the wireless ones too.

That's the one I was trying to find! Had a feeling it might have been you that posted about it before.
