Wildlife from the weekend

Great set Alan love the Fox and the Tree creeper although they are all top notch shots

They are all great Alan, the Treecreeper is also my favourite.

Some classy work there. The fox is surely a money shot, the treecreeper is exceptional.

Looks like you should enter the treecreeper into some competitions, fantastic catch!

They all just seem so sharp, even for this lens?!

I'm not at all into wildlife photography- as a general rule I don't comment on them.

I just thought the first fox picture you posted was exceptional.

I tend to avoid pictures of pets, children, or sport. However, a good picture is a good picture, whatever the subject matter.

For that reason, I think the first is the best. It tells a story, whereas the treecreeper picture, whilst technically excellent, does not.

Quite right George and put very succintly. It is both the quality of the image and the story that makes the picture stand out, it is very good indeed.

I fully appreciate the technical expertise and patience required to achieve good wildlife shots (I have niether the patience or the skill myself)- but a well composed perfectly executed shot of a bird or similar just doesn't appeal to me in the way it does to others.
