What a great set - I love the Treecreeper and the Owl, but the fox shots are most special I think - fave being the portrait version you posted last. Really top stuff. The sigma 150-500 turns out some pretty impressive results in your hands... I'm tempted to have a go with one myself... (cue bout of LBA...)

Lovely set Alan. That Treecreeper is, as everyone else has noted, a wonderful shot !
And again - how on earth did you find all these one on excursion !?
I though it was the ducks eyeing up the fox in #1

Excellent, agree with tyronet on the portrait but that is a weeny thing, excellent results from the Sigma in what appears to be pretty poor light too - really good work.

Thanks again for the feedback. Much appreciated.
Stan and Clare, my thoughts on the fox in portrait mode is that from the foxes point of view it is intimate, with the ducks being in close proximity as he/she weighs up whether they can be caught. Of course from the ducks point of view, they know they've got loads of space to flee into. Maybe I'm over thinking it?

I can follow your thinking Alan, now it's been explained. They are all great shots, what I was wondering was where you saw all the wildlife
All but the owl were at Gosforth Park Nature Reserve Stan, which is under threat from two separate housing developments. The owl was at Prestwick Carr, just outside of Dinnington. If you haven't been to see the owls yet then you really should do soon. Before they fly off in spring. There are regularly half a dozen showing.I can follow your thinking Alan, now it's been explained. They are all great shots, what I was wondering was where you saw all the wildlife
Chris, re the ring on the swan. Thanks for the comment. I know what you mean. But in this instance its just a fun shot, so I'm happy just to leave it.
