Phone call [ much appreciated BTW ] from SRS this morning.
The Courier has let them down - so my camera won't now appear till Tuesday morning . I had been hoping to spend the hours between bucket watching/emptying, setting up the P80 - but not so
Still I can play with my new Tripod instead [ thanks Pink ]

Well mine finally appeared
Took it out today for a play [ I go to Edinburgh and back by Coach on Sundays - a 7.5 hour day ] and enjoyed myself with it .
I'm impressed , very impressed . It looks as if with a bit of care I'm going to get some stunning pics
First impressions - it's tiny !! It's very shiny white , and surprisingly heavy for its size. It's also very clever but I'm starting to understand the way it works .
I do find the lack of a paper manual rather a nuisance .
Just some I 'snapped' today

Should have used Sports setting on this - but I just grabbed it quickly as I was surprised there was still snow here .

Then I zoomed in and got this

This is going to be fun carrying it about with me

Oh I intend to enjoy my P&S when it arrives - it will spend a lot of time in my pocket when Im out and about .
It's for having with me , ready for instant use at times when I can't have the other camera with me .
