Vic - I'd never used a screen before till I started using my old, now sadly demised , Kodak. It had a viewfinder but I found I was using the screen more than I expected .

Now I'm only a teeny weeny bit behind you - so I suspect she'll be fine with it

I had thought to wait till late spring to get my P&S - but that was a bargain too good to miss

I honestly didn't want to spend a lot on it since I have the K-x but I do like something to carry about for odd shots - and that fits the bill nicely.

Thanks for bringing it to my attention

I hope mine will be here tomorrow - had to phone SRS this am as something was missing from the package that arrived today so suggested that they put it in with the camera , which I bought yesterday - to find that said camera was put in post this am before my phone call .

technoidiot. Don't you have a first name?. I've been hard at it since 11.55am and have got the basics already. in fact I've learnt a bit more than that. The manual which is on disc is 256 pages long. It can stitch frames and make panoramas, shoot in B&W and Sepia and who knows what else. Maybe it can make me a cup of tea? That's where I'm going now.
CHEERS Vic.

My name - till I'm more comfortable with life is just that - or you can use 'the idiot' which at times genuinely describes me

C'mon Techno, spill the beans! No one will bite

(In fact I remember what your Christian name is since Greytop(?) already let it slip in that now-censored thread, but it is a bit weird that you feel the need to hide it)

Not a witness protection scheme is it?
If you can't say something nice about Pentax, you won't say anything at all.

Apparently.

Sorry I asked techno. It seems I stirred up a hornets nest. As for calling you "the idiot" I think I'd rather use "Techno" as it is the first part of your AKA. As I said the camera is not for me but that isn't going to stop me having a little fun with it while I learn as I'm not taking it to its new owner 'til Wed. 3rd. Hope you enjoy yours. If you don't please don't blame me. CHEERS Vic.
