....what every single function button on their camera does and how to use it? I don't. I just read my manual again and had a few "ahhhh, that's how you do that" moments. I remember the main bits but the stuff I don't use so often, no.

Erm, the silver one goes click, does that help?

Now I have the camera set up as I like it I need to refer to the manual if I do anything different.

That will never happen you're older then me and you'll always be or do you've found the way to not age anymore

To go a bit off-topic here, how many of you've customize their camera.
I'm not talking about 2 or 3 settings but more.
I've for example have taken away the AF of the shutterrelease, have 1/3th EV steps, finer ISO options, remapped the E-dials in all half-automatic modes and did more things, I believe that hardly any setting is on his default value.

Pretty much most things are on default. I did something with the custom function some time back but can't remember precisely what. Just running back through it now, there's a few things I want to play with and check but not too many.

That sounds like a challenge

Only for UK members who have it set to Dutch, not the other way around Stefan. With our heritage that wouldn't be fair.
Best regards,

Martin.

You've got to remember that very few people outside Holland speak Dutch, that's what makes you so good at other languages!

On the other hand an awful lot of people speak some form of English, that makes us lazy and bad at other languages!

Mind, I can order a beer in quite a few!

Back on topic, how useful is the handbook when setting up cameras?
