Hi Tel, this might sound daft, but I can't find a 'Robin Hood Center, Sherwood Forest' website, or directions etc. Doesn't show on google maps either.
Do you have a link to their website so we know how to get there please!?
Cheers

Cheers Tel.
Just re-read through the Sticky thread, and I must admit that it wasn't very clear where it was! Was doing my search for 'The Robin Hood Centre' not 'Sherwood Forest Country Park & Visitor Centre!'
It did mention that all the details, maps, sat nav details etc would be in the next magazine, and as we don't subscribe to it yet, we didn't get that info, so thanks for the link, I can find my way now!
Just as a reminder to those that might want to go from near us (Aylesbury) on the Sunday, we have a big 7 seater, so would be quite happy to give anyone a lift, you just have to ask! But.... due to recent events (Fiona's broken ankle!), we may have to lose a seat to be a foot rest!
Planning to leave at 8am ish!

I would love to get up to Sherwood Forest as I was introduced to my K100D there a year ago whilst on a beginner's course. I don't get much time on this website as it is exam time BUT I would love to meet up with other Pentax people as I need help with my photography and my next purchase (hoping to get a K20d soon). Give me a time and I will attempt to find it again and be on time. Beverley

Read the thread - I will try to get up there Sat at 10am. I spent 2 days up there with a local photographer (Ilann from Edwinstowe). He took me to the coast too - fab two days, learnt how to use Av and have fun. This is the website Ilann set up for me. Some images from Sherwood, some from the coast.

Looking through those images Bev I think you could teach a few of us a thing or two, if you manage the meet I'm sure one of us will let you play with the K20D for a bit, as long as you point out the good shots in Sherwood that is

Just a thought, but what do you all think about scheduling some time to sell/trade surplus kit?

Yeah! preferably at the end of the day then we get all the "I brought it and didn't use it stuff"Just a thought, but what do you all think about scheduling some time to sell/trade surplus kit
Seriously though, this is a good idea, if you've got it, bring it, even if only to leave in the boot of the car you may come across someone who's interested, it will cost you nothing but the time to pack it.

I am afraid I will not be able to make either day now. I had a minor surgical procedure on my back last week, and sitting in a car for any length of time will not do it any good.
I hope it is a success, and can be repeated when I am fitter.
Look forward to seeing the photos.

There might be another meet in Aug in the Lake District, Sanderscapes and I will be working something out later.
