Howard
I think that is the first drop in the USA whereas here in the UK the camera has already been reduced by around £100 since released.

The original price in the UK was I believe £1200.00. SRS price is now £999.00. D-BG4 was £270.00. SRS price now £225.00. With the PU voucher minus £70.00. on the total. Not a bad deal.
C'mon all you dyed in the wool Pentaxians get out there and buy one.
I'm slowly getting to grips with mine just playing in the garden and the house. My present task is trying it out with the 540FGZ flash at X sync and other settings. Any hints or tips on these settings or usage gratefully accepted.
CHEERS Vic.
Born again biker with lots of Pentax bits. Every day I wake up is a good day. I'm so old I don't even buy green bananas.

I have not used the X sync with my K7/540FGZ i tend to use the wireless flash mode quite a lot and find that with anything other than a small lens fitted it is better to use the built in flash as a trigger only, As a bulkier lens casts a shadow even with the hood removed.
The flash works great in high speed mode, i have used mune up to 1/4000th sec as fill in. Exposures are vastly better than with my old K10 but i still need to use the exposure compensation dial on occasion.
I also use the extension cord with the flash and Camera on my old Vivitar flash bracket with a piece of tape to insulate the flash connectors from the metal hotshoe on the grip.
The pullout white catchlight card very useful especially since losing my omni bounce diffuser.

Regards - Pete
