We are there on Saturday, but we are introducing friends from Nottingham to the spectacle. Don't know about time for photography.

Weather Forecast is warm and settled, temperatures approaching 20 celcius, which is almost unheard of at the start of November in North Yorkshire!

The reason I mentioned it was that my wife & younger son were looking to go and mentioned yesterday that the weather may be iffy.
If I were over there, I'd go regardless.
Best regards

I'll be there quite early, that's so I can get parked while there is still space. Then I'll head for the coffee shop where we've sometimes met on previous occasions, its just off the swing bridge on the south side of the river, in a narrow street, can't remember the name.
I'll hang around the bottom of the steep steps around 10am to see who turns up.

We may well be around on the Sunday. Mum will be with us, so our progress will be very slow around Whitby!
Best regards, John
