OWLS AT MAIDWELL. THEY'RE BACK.

The owls at Maidwell are back. Last year because of the rainfall. (No Voles to eat) There were next to no owls. This year (I've just phoned the farm) there are approx 5/6 Short Eared Owls. 2/3 Barn Owls. At least one Buzzard. And a Harrier Hawk. This according to the farm owner.

The last couple of years have been a bit bare but it looks like the Short Eared owls are coming back???
They are normally around through to the end of Jan. start of Feb.
