Whitby Gothic Weeknd

Is anyone going to Whitby? 2nd November?

Pondering whether to go.

I'll be there with Sue and 40 others from ADAPS. We hire a coach and enjoy a good meal on the way home as well.

A few of us will be in costume, so you might see Sue and Granddaughter Beth swooshing about Whitby. I'll be the one with the Pentax K-5 and the Billingham Hadley pro bag.

I'm down for the weekend with the family but not sure I'm hanging round for the Goths

And the guesthouse landlady is willing, as our's was, to tumble dry your clothes.

WGW is usually fairly decent weather, apart from that time when a whole years rain came down on the Sunday (after we'd all met on the Saturday)
Actually that's not funny, all those poor peoples day ruined

Definitely don't want rain this time around, not with Mrs Spider in a long frock and me with temporary dye in the beard

I've sent a link to a friend who owns and rides one. So far, he's limited himself to plus fours and a deerstalker, but perhaps he'll be inspired by your photos.

There's Steampunk meets going on all the time. Asylum at Lincoln is probably the biggest, even the local shops trim their windows up with a Steampunk theme.

Don't know that we'll make the steps for 10.30 as were staying in Goathland, but I'll give someone a ring to avoid.....er find you
