You can joke HG, I invited a Goth along my self (Canon 350D user:blush, he got into photography a year or so ago, I thought he might like to try his hand at portraits, but he's busy that weekend.
Hardgravity is from Bradford so might not be joking as we have a permanent and fairly large contingent of friendly Goths here; rain, wind or snow. LOL!

Don't worry HG, my Goth mate admits he used to wear make up, he grew out of it

See you at the bottom of the steps at 10 then, or are you coming for breakfast

No chance of breakfast, getting out for 10 at the steps will be an acheivment in itself!

See you there.
Cheers, HG

I own Goths all over the world an apology for my previous comment regarding make up, I must try and curtail my facetious behaviour. I have no problem with anyone of either sex who likes to wear make up, to each his own I believe.

PS next Saturday I will be wearing a Denim jacket and cowboy hat, if you want to ridicule me then I'm all for it

Parking, there's a big car park by the bridge, alongside the river (well signed IIRC)Make sure you get a ticket as the wardens are nasty!

Don't know where it all happens but the abbey is a good spot (so I'm told)

There's some parking by the abbey but how you get there I don't know, probably signed.

Yes it's a lot of steps up!! I did them a few weeks back and can confirm they're definately steps that go up...

...for an eternity!
Cheers, HG

yep piece of cake
Had to have a piece of cake and fish and chips not to mention the several pints of guinness to recover last time I was there.

Seriously I'm so jealous Whitby is one of my favorite seaside towns. My son in law works there drives from York every day. Last Summer I went over with him one day spent the day wandering around the town and Abbey had a meal at the restaurant where he works and then got a train home. Hoping I can do it again this year sometime.
Hope you guys have a great time and looking forward to seeing the photos.

My iPhone says it will be sunny Saturday, but raining Sunday. My iPhone is sometimes right, but often wrong.
