That's a very fine set Gareth. You've processed more of the Goths pictures than I've had time to do so far. Nice to see Mr and Mrs Forbes gothing it up.

Really enjoyed seeing these - thanks for posting everyone.
Turns out a neighbour's goth-obsessed teen daughter, after many months nagging, had finally persuaded them into taking her and a friend. They booked accomodation way in advance, and the day before she had a 'nail session' and all the other shenanigans to get ready and suitably attired.
Trouble is, they got the wrong weekend (thought it was this one) and only realised yesterday. Much
I think they've promised to take her to the next one, so maybe she'll turn up on the next set of postings..

Just got home from a day in Whitby, you guys that went to last weeks Goth Meet can now give yourselves a pat on the back for picking the best weekend, today there were very few people in costume, I would hazard a guess at 1/4 or even less than the numbers last week, and photographers were even rarer.
On the positive side I was able to give the wife more attention and try some in camera HDR later in the day

My thoughts on the apparent lack of goths - as a part time resident of Whitby, the Goth weekend has changed this year.
There has been a bit of a split with the WGW and Alt festival as well as Whitby trying to encourage it to become a week long event rather than a condensed weekend.
Reading the local press it seems the consensus was that there were as many people there as previous years but spread over a whole week and also with a much greater emphasis on returning to focus it as a music festival.
Unfortunately I have no picutres as I was so busy both weekends finishing restoring my cottage there I just didn't have time to get out.
