I'm jealous I couldn't attend.

Didn't this lady have red eyes last time we saw her?

It was a strange meet this year Ted, numbers down on both PU togs and Goths, still enjoyable though, and yes that is the same girl.

Novembers meet could be interesting, especially if anyone has organised a firework display, Goths during the day and firwork shots at night.

But you had your wee hat and bag on the Saturday! How could it get sexier than that?

looks like you had a problem lowering the camera Barrie? Toes are missing.

Shot number one,"ye gads" she looks a serious piece of work.

1)Did she instruct you to photograph her?

2)Were you too scared not to?

or

3)Did you have the minerals to ask?

Second shot, that svelte appearance and look. I'll bet it was hell for her if she needed the loo......

Best regards
Too far from a shore.

your age is showing if you are thinking of practical subjects like that Gary

Considering the conditions I think you come up with some respectable images, I noticed that Alan managed to track Danni down again, she must be one of the most photogenic characters at the Goth weekend.

If you think that maybe you should join the high heel brigade.

I hadn't clicked that the girl in Alan and Barrie's pictures was the same red haired, red eyed girl from the autumn meet. But now it's pointed out she does have the same detached look she had then. She would be warmer in this weekend's outfit than the skimpy gear she wore in November.

A light hearted report on the DPS Blog from a Nikon user on Saturday's event. PU and several members are mentioned. LINK

[quote:3496ace15f="fatspider"Heres both my favorite and yet worst image from the weekend, even the RAW file is totally blown, I really must learn how to use a camera[/quote]I had a lot of exposure issues that day. I checked all my camera settings and they were OK. I think the metering systems were getting fooled by the overcast light.

Actually I thought the K5 handled the exposures pretty well, apart from the obvious like the image in point where the sky just totally bleached out, but considering we were mostly shooting pale skinned girls in predominently dark clothing I suppose exposure problems are bound to arise, Rachel, (Barrie's Dark Angel above) is a classic example, and I have to admit I am extremely lazy in relying on the camera to get it right

John:
Thats an interesting link, thanks. And I didn't realise David was your current President, I got lumbered with that this year too, perhaps we should have had a photo shoot of the two Presidents shaking hands

I think I had the same issue. Brain wasn't engaged! I should have done spot metering and checked, then dialled in another stop of compensation.

This thread has now passed the 1,000 hits mark. Previous posts on the Goths have also attracted big interest. It is surprising that more of our members don't make the trip to Whitby for this colourful festival.
