That can be read as 'you are silly buying option A or B, go for secret option C'

Now, whilst this might not be aimed at me in person, in fact it was aimed at Stefan, it is in the public domain, beginners may be coming here for advice, and yours just came across as condescending to me, and as such, it touched a nerve. Hence my comment.

Reminded me of a thread where the title was 'iPhone or Nexus One' and Stefan suggests a Samsung instead, and look what happened there.

Sorry John, just expected more from you than the 'just buy this one' train of thought.

It was Robbie that asked if those are the only two choice and I quoted Robbie's post in agreement and stated a model that might be interested, sadly it was completely the wrong model I had in mind but that's beside the point.

Then it was followed by other members saying what they think are good phones so Danny it is silly to blame what happened there on such an instance that had nothing to do where the thread ended.

I own one. I've put Windows on it. No it doesn't.

But that is what you always do Stefan! You post something inaccurate (which you could have easily confirmed on Google if you really cared) which kicks off a big argument, then afterwards you say something like "oops, was that little old me who started that huge argument, my apologies, I got it wrong". I can't believe Danny fell for it again!

If you don't want to be drawn into a conversation, then just don't be. I know it's tempting, but people are entitled to their opinions and we all find that sometimes we disagree with others.

Just don't make it personal. For example, and I'll use myself as an example rather than others, you can find my comment condescending, but not me personally. Not a problem.

The trouble starts when people direct their comments at each other and then it becomes personal, rather than just being a discussion. Perhaps something to bear in mind?

I'm thinking of having either beans on toast or spaghetti on toast for tea tonight, can anyone help me with my decision?

I must make it clear that I hate beans, in my opinion they are totally inferior to spaghetti, but I am considering them as they have them at my local shop so would welcome your input. Unless of course, your input suggests beans, then I will reel off many spurious reasons why beans are no good and why I will be having spaghetti on toast tonight.

Any advice guys?

Maybe I don't know because what I quoted was from another course nothing is said with the study I want to follow.
Also like you have mentioned I've said in the first sentence of this thread I think I need an Apple Almighty Danny who knows it all, which course am I going to follow there and does it say with that I'm going to get a Macbook with CS4?

Btw they just called and the course I applied to in Rotterdam didn't had enough students so they pulled the plug, I can start in February or in another location.

About the Iphone Nexus thread, Danny at the end was saying I was use wrong numbers according to his sources and funny enough when you compare they match but well according to you I'm always the one that's wrong link

The problem is they are excusing me that I got things heated again while that isn't true.
First Danny says Please don't turn this into the usual Mac v PC thread as it's not needed on the first page and on the second page he and polchraine have a heated discussion about prices.
But well things are so one sided.

But lets use Apple and Windows now, I've never said that the Macbook isn't a good product.
I said I was worried that a same priced windows machine might be more powerful and basically that was my question.
The only time I got negative about it was that I'm not able to use his full potential because I need to run windows on it most of the time, which then run slower than similar priced machines.

But I read a blog that said spaghetti is healthy and beans aren't. And I don't like the fact that the beans manufacturer makes me open the can with a can opener, rather than another device of my choosing. It's such a closed garden approach. Spaghetti is much better.
