Depends on the final specification and how much better it is than the K20D.

depends on the spec, i would flog the k200 to help fund it and keep the k20d,

I'll be buying it for £400 to £500 in 2011

And I bet it's not gonna be called "K-7".

Firstly, Bear in mind that the K-7 looks like in many ways, it is just be-latedly catching up with the Nikon D300 & Canon 50D in regard to LCD size/spec, af and other specs. Whilst it may, or may not have better sealing, small size etc, I do feel it will be placed by buyers as a competitor to the two DSLR's I just mentioned.

Nikon D300 is approx £1200 & Canon 50D is approx £850.

I get a nasty feeling Pentax will put it at £1299....which will look poor value compared to the 50D especially. If Pentax go over £1299 I think they will struggle with sales and certainly will not get brand 'movers' to come over to Pentax, no matter how good the K-7 may be.

I expect £1299 with a drop to £999 fairly quickly. I may be tempted at £900, but certainly no more, especially bearing in mind how good the £499 K20D is.

Personally I have been fairly confused by Pentax pricing lately. Some lenses appear too high, whilst I have thought for some time that Pentax have been seriously underpricing the K20D by at least £100-150 and maybe more.

I'll very temped at around £1000 providing the spec lives up to some (though not necessarily all) of the hype

I don't think it will be better then the Nikon D300 but coming very close so... €1000 (£900) is my guess but it depends on how good it is in the end though.

I'm done being an early adopter of ever changing technology. I'll wait about 18 months to 2 years and pick one up for £400 - £500 and firmware rev 1.30. . . I think . . .

I was rather taken back to see the 60-250mm f4 is actually cheaper here than in the USA. First time I have seen that.

OK, I give in, but it's got to be a huge improvement on the K20D to make me rush to SRS. It needs to be a much bigger leap than the K20D was from the K10D. There are already bits about it that I don't like, if the images we've seen of it are correct. Why mix those important 4 buttons up? Crazy idea.

The K-M also have such kind of 4 way button, don't know preciesly how it works though.
I believe that when the camera is in shooting mode that they are a sort of FN shortcuts, so no more going into the FN menu and press down, ok to go into the flash menu but simply press the flash button. The problem is that you also use the 4 way to select your focus point... maybe you need to hold the button for a second or you need a combination of button (just like ISO in M-mode, so FN + 4 way button).

Stefan, I was referring to the Menu, trash, Info, and Image Review buttons. Not only are they moved from left to right (not a huge problem) but they've apparently changed their order too.

Somebody somewhere is going to hit the trash button mistaking it for the review button and I'd rather it wasn't me.

Two buttons (preview + trash) moved up, leftside of the viewfinder and the info + menu button are moved under the 4-way button I believe.

Here are all the photos btw link
