What settings do you use for your K-r jpegs?

I like to keep the JPEG output quite natural, so I use the Natural setting and +1 to sharpness. Anything else is done in Photoshop.
Best regards, John

On my KR I use the default 'Bright' with the default plus 1 for each of contrast and sharpness. Defaults are marked by little spot indicators
On my previous KX I used the UK default of 'Natural' but prefer the bright setting in the KR. These presets clearly vary between models.
I think different lens makes can also have an impact.

Keep it at natural mate. These little extras arent really necessary. If you need to adjust brightness and contrast your better of shooting in raw and changing your settings after. You dont want to get disappointed by altering a natural shot in jpeg that you cant change later.
Gotta agree with john on this one

The KX came with 'Natural' as the default in the UK. I understand in other countries it was 'Bright'.
The KR comes with 'Bright' as the default with the default plus ones I mentioned. As I say Pentax mark these on the scale for all the options.
I therefore assume that Pentax have a variable view of optimum jpeg in different cameras. Perhaps this is because of the Sony sensor used or perhaps the IQ of the processor which I believe originates with Fujitsu.
I found 'natural' best on the KX and 'Bright best on the KR so agree with Pentaxes judgement in this case.
I think you'll find there are corrections to jpeg at any setting even 'natural' and all the zeros
As correctly stated, only shooting RAW will avoid this entirely.

My sharpness is set on 3. Brightness on 1 all others as 0. I find really great colours, and easy images of good quality from my KR.
Excellent camera so far.

Sad to see it go, but makes room for an eventual upgrade to the K5 or the K4?

Thanks for the comments so far. Always interesting to see the variations between different users of the same camera.

If people respond it will help not just me but all of us K-r owners.
I know its best to keep experimenting but I would still like to see other people ideas as I do not always have time to mess around especially if I am taking photos of my children.
I also know a lot of people shoot in RAW but this is not convenient to me most of the time and I like to try and get the result as right as possible straight out of the camera.
Thanks in advance for your ideas
Lee
